Original Model
The original model was a Maisto Special Edition 1/18 scale model of a 2020 Chevrolet Stinray Coupe. It was painted white with a bunch of black stripes and the wheels were blacked out. The model itself is nicely detailed with opening hood, frunk, and doors.
I purchased modeling primer, silver paint for the wheels, and body putty. I also purchased very fine grit sandpaper, 360, 400, 500, 600, 1000, and 2000 grit. The latter are for final sanding of the paint to reduce orange peeling. I will need to modfy the model to match my car. I picked the option that paints some of the black accents the body color and I do not have a rear camera as I picked the LT1 option. (I hoped the base option might be lighter for autocrossing.)
