Scoopy
Scoopy took much more time than he deserved. The coin was jammed and it was easy to release it. It was difficult to get Scoopy to open the access door, scoop up a gum ball and deliver it to the hole opposite the door. The mechanism uses a clock timer with an air governor to slow Scoopy's movement. The ratchet mechanism was inconsistent and sometimes Scoopy would rush through his delivery.
I spent a large amount of time figuring out the mechanism was binding on the back of the cabinet, the clock was missing a ratchet plate, and his articulated arm was over centering. The cosmetics were beautiful for a repaint, but the mechanicals were sadly neglected. While I did not restore this piece, I worked on it enough!
